HonkBack is a cartoon road-rage decompression app. It is not a traffic reporting system, legal claim system, public shaming tool, or law enforcement tool.
Information We May Collect
If you claim a Bumper ID, we may collect your email address, display name, plate state, plate text used as your Bumper ID, and email update preference.
When you honk another vehicle, you may enter a plate state and plate text. HonkBack uses this to create a private, cartoon honk experience. Target plates on Honk receipts should remain masked in shared content.
Voice Permission
HonkBack asks for microphone permission so you can honk by voice. Voice is used to drive the in-app honk interaction. Raw voice should not be shared publicly by the app.
How We Use Information
- provide the HonkBack app experience
- save your Bumper ID and preferences
- generate cartoon honk receipts and tiny-car reactions
- respond to support requests
- send product updates if you opt in
- improve safety, reliability, and product quality
What HonkBack Is Not For
- identifying or exposing real drivers
- publishing full target plates in shared receipts
- collecting exact road locations
- verifying traffic claims
- creating public accusations
- encouraging confrontation, pursuit, or harassment

Parked is best. If you use voice while driving, only do so where legal, hands-free, and safe.
